I
rushed the story as I was excited to find this site.
After coming back
from Penang my father was posted to East Sale which was not anywhere near as exciting
as the place that I came from. No one even used the pool on the Base. After leaving
school I joined the Public Service, Defence Department and I worked with many
RAAF personnel (many unfortunately new my father well). I have 3 children Georgia
16, Samantha 14 and Jacob 9. I live in Geelong and after reading about the reunion
in Melbourne last year I wish that I had discovered this site earlier.
My
memories of the school, meeting people from all over Australia, making friends.The
New Zealand Army coming in on regular occasion to entertain us. The opportunities
of the different sports and activities that were available to us. Starting and
finishing schol earlier so we had more time to do things with friends after school.
Getting into trouble from the service police for being where I shouldn't have
been. It is a long time ago but the memories will never be forgotten as it was
such a memorable time and I share these with my children.
