Came to Penang in 71, with Dad and two brothers. Really liked my young year one teacher, Miss Grove, so Dad invited her to the Sgt's Mess ball, then later that year he asked her to marry him, wedding was organised between Penang and Australia, dress made in Australia and shipped to Penang, by brides mother. Instant grandparents came to stay with us while mum and dad went on their honeymoon.
