When I started school in Penang we were in the old buildings much closer to the centre of the town. My memory is that the school moved in 1962. When I started I was in 6th class and my teacher was Mr Murdoch (?). I wasn't the least bit interested in school, spending most of my time in the Penang Swimming Club pool. The names of teachers that I remember from being in 'first year' at RSP are Mr Bannister, Mr Wheeler, Padre Sweetman, Miss O'Kane.

My father was posted back to Canberra were I went to Lyneham High. I then went on to become a librarian and have since lived, for varying periods of time in Townsville (not RAAF posting, first job away from home), in England and then to Sydney until just this year when we moved to the Blue Mountains.

I am married to Richard and we have an eleven year old daughter, Rowena. My sister Susanne now lives in Canberra, as does my brother Andrew.
