Spitz here,how great to find this website!! I remember arriving in Malaysia 13 yo from deathly Mount Waverly, "I knew something was wrong...THESE people know how to live. This will be grouse" and it really was. Had a big impact I think, i've lived in Korea and hubng out in Thailand, Hong Kong, India and two returns to Malaysia and of course Penang. Very strange going back as an adult. Same same but different as they used to say! Had a ball tearing round the island and eating and eating. Felt so at home, going across on the Pulau Langkawi got all misty eyed eating my ice cream and grinning my head off. The school looked exactly the same, and being on the other side of the fence looking in at the base pool was trippy. Early 90's i swear nothing had changed one bit, i was waiting for Queen or Kiss to belt out of that juke box. And i couldn't go in, and i couldn't go back...

Love to hear from whoever, but especially Reid Durant, Volkers,Sonja, Bruce Tinlin (again),Robyn and Mercy Nash,Clackers, Titty...
sadly no-one is looking for me!!!

Oh and I have the perfect penang style curry puff spice combo!!! I find you just can't get 'em like we had. and the eternal search for fried rice half as good as the pool stuff continues!!
