During both my family's postings to Malaysia we lived on Butterworth. First
in Old Bagan Ajam then in New Bagan Ajam.
Through this web site I have managed to recall more about my school days but I still do not remember a lot. Unfortunately I cannot even find myself in the class photos in year 5 or 6. At least the 4d photo has a list of names to help me!
In 1977 9-2 class photo I am in the centre row in the left most position and in 1978 10-2 photo I am in the front row second from the left (as you look at the photo).
If anyone can add to the names of the others in my class I would love to be able to put some names to the faces!
I do have fond memories of my time in Malaysia. Like others that lived on Butterworth, our after school lives revolved around the pool, scouts/venturers and sporting activities.
Since RAAF School Penang - I joined the RAAF in Jan 1979 only 3 days after returning from Malaysia. I ended up getting posted to Malaysia myself in 84-85. I resigned from the RAAF in 2006 and am currently studying Medicine at University of Queensland.
Family - I married my lovely wife Lisa in Sep 1989 and have two children Bradley born in Oct 01, Gregory born Nov 02 and Isabella in Oct 04.
