It would take too long to note all the things I loved about living in Malaysia and too embarassing to recount some of the specific, fond and funny memories I have. Many of them aren't from school, funnily enough, but school certainly had its good times. "The pool" was where we got up to most trouble - typical teenagers!

My sister, Ros, and I returned in 1996 for a holiday. We visited Butterworth and Penang. We were able to sneak onto the beach side of the base at Butterworth by going along the beach path that led to the yacht club. I cant recall if we jumped a fence or not (!) but we got in and strolled past the old hospital, messes and up to the pool. Sadly, the place was generally unkept compared to when the RAAF were there.

We also went back to the school which was being used as RMAF offices. They kindly let us have a look around.

Fond, fond memories.

I first came across this site some years ago and venture back every now and again - today I decided it was about time I left a message!

A big thank you to those who develop and maintain the site - it is great to have such lovely memories so close to hand.

I'm living in Asia again, this time in Hong Kong...
