Went over in 79, completed year 10 and tried to do year 11 via correspondence, not a chance in hell.
Pretty much joined the RAAF as soon as I got back in 81, did my 20 and now working with Boeing at Amberley. My days in the RAAF provided the opportunity to meet others who had also joined up or where living close to the bases I was posted to. Some that come to mind are; Ian Payne, Lance, Sarah, Robbie Jones, Toby and Kev Wode, Peter and Colin White, Chips, Duck, Big Mars, Neil and recently Sid. Sadly I haven't kept in touch with a lot of these people but if you are one of them and reading this please feel free to drop me a line.
I have spent the last couple of days going through this site and the memories are just mind numbing. The faces in the photos are familiar, it's putting names to them all is the trouble I am having. What a time in our lives, we seemed to cram so much in.
I've enjoyed reading the notes of others who have visited this site (Carl, Guy, Dale, Tim and Sterling) and will test the addresses you had left. Would be good to touch base after all this time. Would love to hear from Sharon Paul, those parties were the best and your parents were so cool about it all.
For the record, I am married, got 6 boys for all my efforts and love the Queensland weather.
