Lynne Miles

Hi my name is Lynne Miles.

(In 1961 Grd 3, Mrs Cowman's class, I'm standing in middle with thongs on). Our family was posted to Penang 1960-1962 from Perth and we attended the RAAF School at Seaview Park. I remember some teachers Mr Hunt (Grd 4) and Mr Hince (I think I had him part of Grd 3). I was in grades 2-4 (had to repeat Grd 2 at another place before the school was built.)

Jan Cameron went to school with me and the Inch's, Luggs', Steets' were neighbours. I can't remember too much. We lived in Ayer Itam then for a few months then 18 Tanjong Bungah Rd, Sea View Park.

My father was Jack Miles, RAAF Airframe Fitter, so other parents may remember him. We were posted to Amberley from there. My Mum Jean was very social there too (Badminton, Tennis, Beetles Club, Canasta Club etc). Brothers, Steven (he was in the Cubs/Scouts too), Rodney (Kindy?), & Glenn (toddler).

I remember Wendy Eyres' name so I may have gone to school with her too. My copy of the school photo got wet a few years ago and I lost some of the faces on the right side. I have been back a couple of times, and like everyone else who experience it, I have great memories from that time and our family had slides too. I am currently downloading these to my PC for a backup copy.
