I arrived Jan 1961.
Started school at old school house in 1961 and moved to new school in 1962
In 1962 I had a radio programme called Teenagers Half Hour, does anyone remember it? It was a request programme.
I worked at the aust hostel on Friday evenings and ran a talent quest for the kids whilst waiting for the movies to commence.
Have many fond memories of penang. my brother Barry and two sisters Jenny and Judy were also students at the school.
Great website and great to see some of the photos of the early '60s. I wonder what you all look like now?
I spoke to Peter Edgar by phone recently, a real personality and character at the school.
I see Ros Elford often as she lives in canberra.
Would be great to catch up with some of the people from the 1961-63 era, special reunion?
My favourite teacher was Kath O'Kane, gorgeous girl. You may remember she was engaged to Murray Raines a pilot officer who was killed in an air crash in about 1962.
