After stumbling across this amazing website put together by Cynthia I can only congratulate her and I'm sure the many others who have contributed to its existence.
Yes! I also was a RAAF brat and have fond memories of my time at RSP during the years of 1985 to 1987. Memories include the bus trips too and from the school each day from Butterworth and all of the silly games we would play on the trip to make the time pass quicker; playing basketball at any chance we could outside of class times; RAAF Radio Butterworth; Triathlons; Scouts; the great local food and of course the many chants of 'White bum'.
Every so often I wonder how other class mates I knew are getting along so it was great to read past students stories on this site.
Just some of the friends I was lucky enough to know at the time were: Max Fredericks, Luke Meissner, Jason Clarke and Jason Martell, as there were plenty of times we got into mischief and had a lot of laughs. There were other people also in our year 7 and 8 grades and I can honestly say that they were good times and I was fortunate to have these experiences.
After Malaysia we lived in Adelaide for 1 year then moved to Queensland where our father retired from the RAAF. I have lived in Brisbane ever since. My wife and I just had our first child and life is treating us well. I work as a lecturer in Hospitality/Tourism (the fighter pilot phase came and went real quick!!) and between work and a new-born baby my 'world' is very busy.
