Memories of RAAF school Penang, I have many, I would like to share some of them with you.

The overhead fans always blowing the Vice principal's hair out of place. Mr White was receding and he grew a long piece of hair and would brush it over to look like he had more hair, and every time he got under the fans it would blow out of place.

Trying to be the first to get a chocolate milk, they were rare. The milk was provided every day at recess, heaven help us today if we left fresh milk out in the tropical heat to give to our children these days!

Sitting in the attap class rooms feeling extremely bored during religious instructions, the fans turning at full speed and the heat making you want to go to sleep, the R.I. teacher droning on and on, waiting for the bell to end the session.

The bell was actually Led Zeppelin pounding out "Communication song" I remember that song well because I still love Led Zep, (yes my true age is showing).

The love bites on Miss Bontes neck and her short halterneck dresses with no bra, stopping science lessons to listen to the Melbourne Cup, decorating the hall for the school socials, assembly, sitting on the cold cement in our very short uniforms and getting a cold bum.
