My daughter showed me the web site and said something like "Dad didn't you go to school here when pop was posted to Malaya". Of course my answer was yes and I started to think about some of the memories, friends and experiences that I still have about Penang and the 3yrs that we were there (March 1967 through to March 1970.

We arrived in March 1967 from Williamtown and it was very late at night (or very early in the morning) and I will always remember seeing mum's face when she met the armah, gardner and representatives from the shops she tried to be extremely polite but after a long trip she had had about enough.

I was in 3M(1967), 4C(1968), 5B(1969), and for the first part of 1970 I think it was 6D (I can't remember). On scanning the school photos I remember having some great times. The people that I remember most are: Brian Evans, Peter Moore, Mark Ely, Susan Oldknow, Mike Tuckwell, Debbie Pope, Janet Webster. For those who may remember me - I was the skinny little blonde-headed guy who always seemed to get into trouble.

Since then I've been to University in WA and the UK and am in the process of changing careers from the Defence Force (Army) to the mining industry in WA.

I am married to a wonderful (very tolerant lady) and have a pigeon pair; Issabelle (10yrs) and Edward (7 yrs)

It would be interesting to here from anybody of my vintage.
