I stumbled across your website and couldn't believe that there was one for the good old RAAF school.

I attended the primary school there from May 1980 (Grade 3K with Mr. Whelan) to December 1982 (Class 5S with Mr. Smart). My father was Wing Commander Sam Krooglik and I believe he was in charge of logistics at the RAAF base on Butterworth. By the way, my dad now works as a lecturer at RMIT in Melbourne. My mother, Christine Krooglik, is living in Melbourne with my dad but is not working. I still remember fondly all my primary school friends and would love to hear from them -- Joshua Lucas, Renee Currie, Matthew Mills, and others. We spent our first six months in Malaysia in Jalan Choong Ly Hok then we moved to Taman Talek Molek on Butterworth, then in 1982 on to the RAAF base itself. I remember my 2 1/2 yrs in Malaysia very fondly and would dearly love to go back.

I have not had any contact with any of my old friends since I finished there in 1982, so if anyone wants to write to me, please do so. I am now married to a lovely Chilean, Cecilia, whom I met while working in Chile. My sister, Amanda Krooglik, who attended the other RAAF primary school, is now married to Jason Vella and lives in Melbourne. I finished a degree in chemical engineering at the University of Melbourne in 1993 and I am now in the USA studying for my MBA at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. I hope to spend the next several years here.
