Jackie and Sam Hays

What a school! What a wonderful three years of my life! I absolutely loved these years in Penang! Teachers were all great. Mr Granland challenged me to greater heights in the classroom and on the sports field.

My Dad flew DC3s in Transport Support Flight (TSF). We lived at 1 Jln Pantai Molek, Tanjong Tokong - a short walk from the Hostie. I was one of six Hays' that invaded the school at different classes (Chris, Greg, me, Prudence, Rachel, and Richard). I loved the the sports programs, the food, the scouts and the girls! The peer group was outstanding – As a kid, I never experienced the closeness again with friends like I did in those years.

My Dad retired in 1973 and we settled in Brisbane in 1975. I joined the Navy in 1977 and completed 20 years in the Navy and RAAF moving every 3 years (sound familiar?). I then spent three years in Christian ministry training, and now run a management consulting business at RAAF Base Williamtown (near Newcastle). I have five kids (Ashleigh, Brenton, Ethan, Josiah and Sebastian) a wonderful Scottish wife (Jackie). I've tried most extreme sports but limit it now to mountain biking.

Most importantly though I discovered the reality of Jesus Christ, the most impacting and excellent change of direction in my life! I know the best is yet to come. I would be thrilled to hear from anyone who might remember me.

Now living in Medowie (30 mins from Newcastle, NSW).
