When I first was told we were going to Malaysia I hated the idea as a 10 year old wanted to stay in Wagga Wagga.
After being there for a month I got the mumps and had them for 3 weeks. We had the best amah in Butterworth. Then we moved to Penang as my parents though tit was best for dad to travel to work than us to school, so we chnaged amahs. We seemed to go through a few I think we had about 6 in the time we were there.
Anyway, although I hated the thought of going to Malaysia it was the best time of my schooliong life. Met some great people and have managed to catch up with some of them again on holidays and Facebook.
I married a RAAF guy and have 3 children. Now living in Brisbane.
