This is such a great site, it brings back so many memories of the great times we had at school and in Butterworth.
Like
many people we had never been overseas when my Dad was posted to Butterworth
(he was a Firie). We lived at Bagan Ajam with the Reinke's, Schlank's, Douglas's,
Hartigans, Dippels and Smith's. My Parents are still friends with the Smith's,
Reinke's and Schlank's after 30 yrs. We were all into the Butterworth Basketball
comp -I played for Phantoms and my brother Shaun played for Jets.
My younger brother Tim is with 1SQN at Amberley and I was in for 10yrs and
have been APS for last 8years. We hope to go back this year (2008) as it would
be 30yrs since we lived in Butterworth. My boys are the same ages as my brothers
and I and will no doubt find it exciting and very different. Happy to hear
from anyone who remembers either us.
