I was in Malaysia from 1979 to 1981. I also attended Tinkerbell Kindergarten in 1980. We lived in Tanjung Bungah (Jalan Gajah) and our house was right next door to the old NAFEE store.
My father was a Safety Equipo with 75SQN while we were here. He did 20 years and then discharged in 1988. I joined the RAAF in 2001 and am currently posted at RAAF Base Townsville.
I have done a few trips back to Butterworth with the RAAF, including a couple of 3 month attachments which have been really enjoyable. Definitely brought back a lot of good memories from when I was growing up.
I am interested in contact with anyone from KW 1981 including my teacher Mrs Welsh.
