Special Memories:
We lived at 21 Jalan Azyze. Our first night on the bus taking us to our new home and how excited I was to see we were getting a 2 storied house, bedrooms upstairs and living area downstairs and 2 toilets wow! I was rapt, of course that novelty soon wore off, having to go upstairs all the time.

Riding our bikes everywhere, through the kampongs. Anyone remember Goody Stick ice creams? yummo. Having the groceries delivered. Taking malaria tablets yuck! Going to the rock pool and the beaches. The great xmas parties we'd have at the beach. The Joey dances what fun they were..... Getting new outfits made to wear to the dances.

Sport every Saturday morning, never before or since was I so sporting. I still have a blue trophy I won for netball or as it was called then women's rules basketball.

Thank you Cynthia for this site, bringing back some wonderful memories and hopefully bringing together some long lost friends. I now live in Ipswich, married, no children, 2 dogs. I work part-time in the family business with my brother Danny and husband Paul.

We like to travel and have been back to Penang many times and will probably be heading back there next year.
