Wow, what a blast fom the past this website has been. I loved living in Penang and I loved the RAAF School. We were all so lucky to have lived such an experience.

When we left Dad was posted to Melbourne where I finished High School. Next posting was to Canberra where I had to go as I had no time to find a job in Melbourne. Lo and behold I landed a job at the Malaysian High Commission as an Information Clerk. The job was as cruisy as the lifestyle in Penang but I was restless and headed over to Japan to teach English for 12 months.

Returned in '84 and did my training as a Nurse in Sydney. Got married in 1990 to a gorgeous Queensland boy now have 2 beautiful children, Jake 11, and Elouise 7. We live in Wynnum Queensland where I work for the Blue Nurses as a community nurse.(The husband of one of my collegues told me about this site, Thanks Chris Howitt) Settled at last but not before living in three states and Holland for a while. My hubby had some catching up to do.

I have been back to Malaysia but, unfortunately not to Penang. It is an ambition of mine to take my children there, it had such a huge influence on my outlook on live and my tolerance of others that I would love to share it with them. What a shame the school is closed.

To all old friends form Guides, RSP, the Hostie and Penang Swimming Club, it is a shame we didn't manage to keep in touch. You never know where you will find a connection. Hope to hear from some of you.

Regards,
