I was in Mr. Faux's class
in Year 5, Mr. Graham's class in Year 6, and in 7.2 for first year of high school.
My Dad took many home movies of our time on Penang (Super 8mm), including my first day wearing the all white high school uniform (I really thought I had made it).
We lived on Penang, not at Hillside, but on Mt. Erskine Road, across the road from a huge cemetery. It wasn't a very far walk to the RAAF Hostel.
I remember our Bus Driver of an afternoon was extremely crazy, I am sure he thought he was driving in the Formula One, but being kids, we would all egg him on to go faster.
Once
I dig out the old photo albums and scan them on the computer, I will send a heap
of photos from my time there.
