A day doesn't go by when I don't think about my time in Butterworth. I have a tendency to find 70s music that we used to play on the bus ride over to the island on the way to school.I'm also looking for a good kway teow recepie if anybody has one.

So many memories and so many good friends. The first thing I remember is the humidity that hit you as soon as you stepped off the plane and a wild taxi ride to the Ambassador Hotel where we stayed for the first week or so.
The base pool was always a great meeting place to hang out with friends or the 'Boatie'. First place I got drunk thanks to one of the RAAF guys. Dad wasn't real impressed at the time.

The dolphin dances and school socials were always a must attend and I remember going to a joey's dance on the island one night with Bob Charlton and hearing Sharon Joyce sing 'Darktown Strutters Ball' with her dad's band. I stayed with Robert Allum one weekend and came home scarred and bleeding after we rode our bikes down scout rock. Stupid thing to do in hindsight.

Anyway, married now and living in Alice Springs with my wife and 4 kids. Always open for a trip down memory lane if anybody wants to drop me a line. There's too many good memories to write them all here.
