I spent only a short time at RSP. However, my family lived at Hillside from early 1965 until about mid 1966, when we moved to Butterworth (Tan Sai Gin). We lived almost opposite the Pickerings (their daughter Annette was a friend of both my sister Beverley and I).
One of my closest friends was Cheryl Mason (who married John Gorrie ex RAAF) with whom I am still in contact after all these years. I found schooling by correspondence very difficult and took up a commercial course at Butterworth. We returned to RAAF Lapstone from whence I travelled to UK where I lived for 3-1/2 years.
I have lived in Coffs Harbour for about 15 years and can't imagine living anywhere else.
