I was a student at the RAAF School Penang 1977 and 1978 (Yr 6 and 7). My brother Stuart was in Yr 4 and 5.
We lived at 1H Jalan Bungah Hinai, Tanjong Tokong and it was the best time of our lives. My father (now retired) was a Major in the army and worked in the ground liaison office at Butterworth. Mum was a socialite and spent most of her time sunning herself and painting. We were members of the Penang Swimming Club and dad was Club Captain in 1978. His name is on the honour board - Keith Anderson - in the clubhouse. I have still got the medals and trophies we won at the swimming club along with a lot of great memories.
I have been in contact with people from my class and there are a number of us as members in the Alumni.net website under the RAAF School Penang as ex-students.
Stephen now lives in Port Stephens, NSW.
