Upon leaving Penang we were posted to Melb and then onto Sale in Gippsland in 1980.

My memories of Malaya never really dim; I still remember our gardener, his name was Shark, memories of Sunrise Towers which constantly fell down, the kampongs, Gurney Drive the Temple of a Thousand Steps, Thaipusam, the Sleeping Buddha.

Who could not forget the hours spent at softball - the days seemed to last forever over there.
