Hi, this is amazing.

I went to penang raaf school from early '84 til Feb'85 and reading everyone else's comments brings back so many fantastic memories...

I'm 100% penangite(indian), born and bred...my step dad Ian keightley( RAAF AirCraft Engineer- 1982-1985) enrolled myself and my brother Dave, at the school, he married my mum usha in 1984 and we lived in Vale Tempe...

I remember my first day of school,Year 5 and Mr Russell was my teacher,
( talk about a huge culture shock)......I was soo nervous....i mean from having been to a Malaysian school, it was an eye opener.

Trying to grasp the aussie slang was not the easiest thing to master......but i managed...I mean I spoke english well, but the aussie slang was hard to pick up or understand..hehe.

Anyway..i made some great friends...and we managed to keep in touch but through the years, have lost contact...

There was always something happening every week,..be it sports,swimming carnivals, dress up days, international food days...gosh you name it....i don't think we did alot of school work...

I still have my white school tunic/uniform, covered in signitures taken on my last day of school before i embarked on my new life in Sydney, Australia in Feb 85.
I still live in sydney...I work for Optus, and run my own business with my fiance...
